The study of the Islamicate world during the medieval period (defined roughly as 500-1500 C.E.). The journal was created in 1992 as the bulletin of Middle East Medievalists. In 2015, we transformed it as an online, open access, and peer-reviewed journal. We publish original research articles, brief notes and communications, review essays, book reviews, and obituaries.
