Faces of the Orange Revolution

The Orange Revolution in Ukraine in November and December 2004 took the world by surprise. The number of people who joined the protest movement in Kyiv, the capital, and other locations all over the country, in order to defend their right to a fair presidential election, surprised the regime of President Leonid Kuchma and Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, as well as many in the opposition.
