Observed Hearing Loss and Incident Dementia in a Multiethnic Cohort

Golub, Justin S.; Luchsinger, José A.; Manly, Jennifer J.; Stern, Yaakov; Mayeux, Richard; Schupf, Nicole

Background/Objectives—Hearing loss (HL) may be a risk factor for incident dementia; however, this finding needs replication and extension to ethnically diverse samples for generalizability. The objective of this study was to determine whether observed hearing loss (OHL) is associated with incident dementia in a multiethnic population.
