Defense Industry Conversion in the Russian Federation: A Case Study of Kaluga Region
Military industry conversion offers one of the most significant challenges as well as opportunities of our time. It can substantially reduce the quantity of arms in the world and thereby contribute to overall peace. It is crucial to reallocate the tremendous human material and financial resources from military to civilian use and, thus, enhance social and economic progress all over the world. No other country, however, was as deeply affected by the militarization of its economic and social life as Russia.
