Adaptation to Flooding in the City of Santa Fe,
Argentina: Lessons Learned
Santa Fe, Argentina, faced catastrophic floods in 2003 and 2007 that exposed social vulnerability and gaps in infrastructure and governance. The city improved disaster resilience through risk communication, community engagement, and institutional adaptation, earning the UN Sasakawa Award for Disaster Reduction.
