Challenges of Education Reform: Central Asia in a Global Context

On January 23-24, 2009, the Harriman Institute hosted an international conference, Challenges of Education Reform: Central Asia in a Global Context, which brought together leading academics, practitioners, and education policymakers from Turkmenistan, the United States, and Europe. Representatives of Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, Earth Institute, Journalism School, Barnard College, and Teachers College participated in the conference as panel speakers, chairs, and discussants.
