As a data repository is preparing to apply for CoreTrustSeal Certification, sharing an online application template among repository staff members enables each team member to contribute to the draft application based on their acquired knowledge and experience with the capabilities and services offered by the repository. Collaboratively sharing the combined contributions of team members allows each contributor to review the contributions of others to inform their understanding of the repository and to elaborate on the responses to specific requirements. Reading the applications of CoreTrustSeal Certified repositories also can be beneficial for improving understanding of the different approaches employed by repositories, including the variety of ways in which repositories address CoreTrustSeal requirement R04 Legal and Ethical issues.
