The BGLC is an expansive collective of Black women literacy scholars at different stages of their careers, from doctoral students to leading voices in the field. BGLC sista scholars include Marcelle Haddix, Gholnecsar E. Muhammad, Detra Price-Dennis, Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, Sherell A. McArthur, Carmen Kynard, Elaine Richardson, Erica Womack, LaToya T. Sawyer, April Baker-Bell, Tonya Perry, Bettina Love, Tamara Butler, Delicia T. Greene, Reba Y. Hodge, Fahima Ife, Maima Chea Simmons, Dywanna Smith, Stephanie P. Jones, Stephanie Toliver, Em A. Kirkwood, Autumn A. Griffin, and Ebony Elizabeth Thomas. It is our hope that the collective continues to expand its affiliations as the field of Black girls’ literacies research advances.
