Organization History (OHx): Making the Construct Explicit in Organization Change Literature
Organization change theorists have comparatively neglected organization history (notated henceforth as “OHx”) as an important construct. The purpose of this paper is to make the case for OHx as an important construct and data gathering point in organization change efforts, and seeks to find its place in the organization change literature. Two case studies are also offered to help practitioners interested in potentially leveraging OHx in their organization development work.
