Molecular Design of Tailored Organic Battery Materials

Lei, Wenrui

The development of high-performance lithium batteries requires advances in energy density, rate capability, safety, and stability across a wide range of operating conditions. Conventional battery materials have enabled substantial progress, but limitations in structural tunability, interfacial stability, and temperature adaptability continue to restrict further improvement. This dissertation addresses these challenges through the molecular and structural design of organic battery materials, including organic cathodes, organic anodes, and polymer electrolytes for lithium batteries.
