The ABCs of Privacy Preserving Technologies is a concise graphic introduction to various privacy enhancing technologies, with examples ranging from those used by ancient civilizations to techniques used in present-day privacy-enhancing and security-related procedures. Since the beginning of recorded history, humans have guarded their most precious secrets, hiding confidential information and concealing sensitive data. This 62-page pocket history includes original graphics by the author, photography and images from archives and museums. The pdf is open source and the print version is available for purchase in the US. A portion of every sale is donated to the Tor Project in support of a more private, anonymous, and free internet.
