New Deputy Directors

The Harriman Institute is pleased to announce the naming of three new deputy directors. Following a decision by the Executive Committee in September, three new officer positions were created last fall: Kimberly Marten, Ann Whitney Olin Professor of Political Science at Barnard, became Deputy Director for Development; Alexander Cooley, Professor of Political Science at Barnard, became Deputy Director for Social Science Programming; and Alan Timberlake, Professor of Slavic Languages at Columbia, became Deputy Director for Humanities Programming as he continues his position as the Director for the Center on East Central Europe.
