Visualizing Domestic Architecture at Olynthos: Lighting Analysis of Activity Spaces in the Greek House
This project examines the common spaces of Greek houses at Olynthos before the city's destruction and abandonment in the 4th century BCE. Using 3D modeling and global illumination technologies, it is possible to reconstruct the lighting in work and dining spaces at different times of the day to estimate how much artificial lighting would have been required or how many windows might have been included in rooms.
