Activity and Rotation of Nearby Field M Dwarfs\\in the TESS Southern Continuous Viewing Zone
This is a repository of long-slit optical spectra for a sample of M dwarfs within the southern continuous viewing zone of the TESS Observatory. There are 122 M dwarfs in our sample with at least one spectrum. The spectra were taken with the Goodman spectrograph at SOAR and the GMOS spectrograph at Gemini South between 2019 January and 2020 March. We used these spectra to measure the equivalent width of the H-alpha line, which we used as an indicator of magnetic activity in our sample stars.
