Writing Centers' Founding Dates

This dataset tracks the founding dates of writing centers around the world, beginning in 1934. The spreadsheet contains over 3,700 writing centers. Over 2,400 of those list the years of their founding. These data are available for any composition studies scholar to use with attribution and for non-commercial purposes. Entries are updated on a rolling basis. See the link for the most up-to-date data.
