Nabokov: A Case Study in the Art of Translation

Meyer, Ronald John

Vladimir Nabokov translated his own Russian novels and stories into English decades after they were originally written. In this examination of two of Nabokov's auto-translations, Despair and The Return of Chorb, Meyer examines Nabokov's textual choices, comparing them with the original Russian texts, as well as other translations of the work.
