Brushing Stone with Brushes and Tripoli

Making and Knowing Project

Materials and tools used include paper towels, spray bottle with water, walnut oil (cold-pressed, from Kremer pigments), hog hair brush, two wooden skewers, tripoli (diatomite, light, average particle size 15μmmeters), tripoli (diatomite, reddish, average particle size 12.7 μmmeters), two four-ounce containers, engraved stone, mineral spirits.
