LDEO 2 MHz Nortek AquaDopp High-Resolution (HR) Pulse-Coherent Velocity Data on the LDEO Terra Nova Bay Mooring, Feb 2017 - Mar 2018

Zappa, Christopher J.

Centimeter-scale velocity profiles collected using two 2 MHz Nortek AquaDopp High-Resolution (HR) pulse-coherent velocity profilers deployed at 47 and 85 meters water depth on the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO)Terra Nova Bay mooring at 74.97°S, 163.96 °W in 2017-2018. These measurements are used to estimate turbulence kinetic energy dissipation rates, a key parameter in studies of surface ocean mixing and air-sea transfer. Included are each instrument’s output velocity (.v1), amplitude (.a1), correlation (.c1), header (.hdr), sensor (.sen) and system (.ssl) files. Note that the instruments split the full 1-year deployment period into two segments, so each instrument has two sets of files.
