Human‐mouse hybrid cell lines and susceptibility to species‐specific viruses
Pollack et al. review recent studies where viruses infect different somatic hybrids, in this case cell lines containing some chromosomes of murine origin and some of human origin. The difference between cell lines with permissive and non-permissive characteristics to different viruses is investigated. The characteristics of the human and murine hybrids are described on a chromosomal level.
