LDEO Terra Nova Bay Mooring Measurements, February 2017 - March 2018
Quality-controlled data collected on the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) mooring in Terra Nova Bay from February 2017 - March 2018. The data format is netCDF. See Miller et al. (2024a; doi:10.1038/s41467-023-43880-1) for details on the mooring deployment. Data include temperature and salinity at 7 depths across the mooring, current velocity profiles in the upper 40 m of the water column, current velocities at 230, 300, and 370 m, and processed turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) dissipation rates at 47 m and 85 m, with accompanying boundary layer scaling parameters (surface buoyancy flux and water-side friction velocity). See Miller et al. (2024b; Deep Sea Research II) for details on the turbulence calculations.
