Eureka! Unraveling the Mystery Behind Creativity

Gerlovina, Zhanetta

This Creativity Handbook explores the different approaches that psychologists have taken in their attempts at understanding the creative process and the creative individual. It begins by defining creativity and dispelling a number of widely held beliefs about creativity. This handbook progresses by explaining the major models of creativity including the psychodynamic, psychometric, personality, systems and problem-solving models of creativity as well as the constraints model and Wallas' Four Step Model of creativity. In an effort to help the reader gain a deeper understanding of the creative process, this handbook follows the creative process of a number of individuals in the realms of literature and visual arts.
