Development of the hedge fund industry: Market dynamics and the Japanese experience

The Program on Alternative Investments, under the aegis of the Center on Japanese Economy and Business and in cooperation with the student-run Japan Business Association of Columbia Business School, hosted its second seminar of the academic year on October 1, 2003. The event featured Mr. Shuhei Abe, President and CEO of SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd., the largest independent asset management firm in Japan, and was moderated by Dr. Mark Mason, Director of the Program.
