Organizations On-the-go: Linking Welfare Effects to Strategy
In this study, I am interested in discovering alternatives to the Weberian type in which extant management practices are recombined in ways that lead to new goals. The analysis suggests that the emergence of collaborative community forms based around projects and inter-organizational networks facilitates recombinations in practice that are consequential to the success of new organizations in hypercompetitive domains. These non-commercial goals, related to knowledge sharing and learning are then proposed as part of a framework for linking welfare effects to strategy.
