Immagini e risposta emotiva: la prospettiva neuroscientifica

Freedberg, David A.

For eight years now I have been dedicating myself to the studies I illustrated this morning, and for over twenty years I have understood how it was impossible to study the emotional reactions to the work of art without knowing the principles of the then still young cognitive neuroscience. At that time I understood that the old formalism was dying, and that emotional reactions could be recovered precisely through the study of neuronal systems and synaptic collagments between the retina, visual cortex and other parts of the brain.
