The People's Professor

Stiglitz, Joseph E.

A biography of Joseph Stiglitz, an American economist and a professor at Columbia University, is presented. He was born in Gary, Indiana and studied at Amherst College. After his third year at Amherst, he then enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) wherein he had made his first academic paper. In 2001, Stiglitz received the Nobel Laureate in economics.
