Filmi Jagat: Folding a World Into Itself
This essay rethinks the meanings and constituents of a film archive by examining private film scrapbooks as a mode of liminal historiography. In the face of institutional disregard, the 'kinetomaniac' or the obsessive, possessive lover of the movies offers the film historian some lessons in playful and libidinal logics of archiving and interpretation.
