Nuclear Alarmism from Hiroshima to Al-Qaeda

Mueller, John

Dr. John Mueller is the Woody Hayes Chair of National Security Studies at the Mershon Center and Professor of Political Science at the Ohio State University. He is the author of Overblown: How Politicians and the Terrorism Industry Inflate National Security Threats, and Why We Believe Them. The Hertog Global Strategy Initiative is a research program that employs historical analysis to confront present and future problems in world politics. Each summer, invited experts and select students gather at Columbia University for twelve weeks of intensive study, independent research, and collaborative writing on a critical issue in international affairs. The 2010 program focuses on nuclear proliferation and the future of world power.
