Sonata for Flute and 'Cello (In One Movement)

Elia, Anthony J.

This short piece, titled a "Sonata," though not consistent with its traditional multi- part form, was written in 2005, and dedicated to the memory of the composer's close friend, violin teacher, and musical mentor, Dr. Herman Ash (1909-2006). The work was performed at his memorial service in the spring of 2006, by 'cellist Sona Hairabedian and flutist Sarah Elia (the composer's sister).
