Exiled from Main Street: Improvisational Teaching/Life

Walker, Paul

This article discusses elements of improvisational teaching juxtaposed and integrated with the unexpected necessity of living an improvisational, unstable life. At the heart of the exploration is the dilemma of how freedom and learning come at the expense of imposed and embraced limitations that provide stability and predictability, and the struggle to not value one too highly over the other.
