The Islamic Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art contains a multitude of works that ignite the musical imagination. This paper analyzes a tile from the studio of Ibn al Ghaibi al Tawrizi and how its visual aesthetic mirrors qualities within the Islamic soundscape.
