Gaddis, John Lewis

Dr. John Lewis Gaddis is the Robert A. Lovett Professor of History at Yale University. His most recent books include Surprise, Security, and the American Experience and The Cold War: A New History. The Hertog Global Strategy Initiative is a research program that employs historical analysis to confront present and future problems in world politics. Each summer, invited experts and select students gather at Columbia University for twelve weeks of intensive study, independent research, and collaborative writing on a critical issue in international affairs. The 2010 program focuses on nuclear proliferation and the future of world power.
