This brief will examine discriminatory violence committed by individuals and US government entities against Middle Eastern Americans, emphasizing the post-September 11th era of sustained anti-Muslim and anti-Arab sentiment in the United States, and how it has resulted in racially- and religiously-motivated violence against this community.
