Medium-term prospects for the Japanese economy and for U.S.-Japan relations

This article takes the current state of the Japanese economy and projects GNP growth rates for 1995 and 1996. The article then gives a background to Japan's troubled economic conditions and recommendations for revitalizing the Japanese economy. The article concludes with projections of possible benefits from a strong Japanese economy for the U.S./Japanese relationship.
