BIBFRAME Basics
Library of Congress with partnering institutions are working to create a new cataloging standard to replace MARC. Known as BIBFRAME, this new standard leveraged linked data models to enable library collection metadata to integrate and contribute more easily to the Web. Learn the basics of BIBFRAME in this entertaining presentation that will cover the theory and practice of this new and evolving cataloging standard. Topics include: BIBFRAME framework development history, foundations of linked data, BIBFRAME model and vocabulary, and BIBFRAME testing and implementation.
