Vita Excolatur #1 for Solo Violin

Elia, Anthony J.

"Vita Excolatur" is a series of short solo violin works, written for NY violinist Vita Wallace. The expression plays on both Ms. Wallace's name and the motto of the University of Chicago (where the composer is an alumnus from the Divinity School). The motto is: "Crescat scientia, vita excolatur," often translated as "Let knowledge grow from more to more, and so be human life enriched."
