Mammalian somatic cell hybrids and their susceptibility to viral infection
Green et al. describe conclusions from experiments where viruses infect different somatic hybrids, in this case cell lines containing some chromosomes of murine origin and some of human origin. The difference between cell lines with permissive and non-permissive characteristics to different viruses is investigated.
