New Voices of the Diaspora Autobiography Contest

What was it like to be a Jew in the former Soviet Union and a Soviet-Jewish émigré to North America in the late 20th century? This was the question posed by the Harriman Institute’s New Voices of the Diaspora Autobiography Contest, initiated and organized by Rebecca Kobrin, Russell and Bettina Knapp Assistant Professor of American Jewish History at Columbia University.
