SERVIR West Africa 2024 Training Program on Data Stewardship and the CoreTrustSeal Requirements: Session 8, R06 Requirement

Downs, Robert R.

Digital repositories that offer data and other types of content and services to their designated communities acquire the expertise needed to effectively support those who produce and use the data. Such expertise should be relevant to the disciplinary knowledge of the community and to the technical infrastructure and processes of the services offered to the community. Both internal expertise and external guidance contributes to the knowledge that supports the designated community. The digital repository that transparently documents their sources of expertise and guidance provides their designated community with evidence of the knowledge utilized to serve the community as its needs and applicable technologies evolve.
