City of Paris: 10 Years of Climate Comprehensive Strategy
Paris has pursued a decade-long climate strategy combining mitigation, adaptation, and citizen engagement. The Paris Climate Action Plan (2007, updated 2012) aims to cut GHG emissions, reduce energy use, increase renewable energy, and adapt the city to climate change. Key actions include retrofitting housing, promoting sustainable mobility, greening urban spaces, and coordinating stakeholders through the Paris Climate Agency. The city also assesses vulnerabilities to heat waves, floods, and droughts, using research and pilot projects to guide resilience and adaptation measures.
