Labor force withdrawal, re-entry and wages by educational attainment in Japanese women

The purpose of this paper is twofold: 1) to identify differences in work history such as withdrawal from and reentry into the labor force among women with different educational backgrounds; and 2) to examine the mechanism which causes these differences from the perspective of the human capital theory.
