Academic Commons is Columbia University’s online repository where current faculty, student, and staff can deposit the results of their scholarly work and research. Most content in Academic Commons is freely available to the public. However, doctoral dissertations are accessible only to current members of the University community.

  • Is a service of the Columbia University Libraries/Information Services and is managed by the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship.

Current faculty, staff, and students are invited to deposit research materials that are already in a digital format, including: articles; monographs; working papers; conference papers; images; datasets; multimedia creations; technical reports; preprints; software code; and, theses.
